Theatre, Facilitation & Performance
Here you’ll find projects that combine my work as a theatre maker and facilitator. From directing devised performances to leading creative workshops with schools and communities, I use theatre to tell stories, celebrate identity, and build confidence in collaboration with organisations across the UK.
Participation & Facilitation Work
My work with young people is rooted in creativity, imagination and collaboration. I have delivered workshops in schools, community spaces and theatre settings, working with organisations such as Nottingham Playhouse, Derby Theatre and the Crucible in Sheffield. Across these projects I focus on making the arts accessible and empowering, helping participants build confidence and self-expression through drama, movement and storytelling. I aim to create safe spaces where young people feel supported to explore their creativity and develop the tools to amplify their voices, share their own stories, and grow as confident individuals.
Youth & Education Programmes
Lead Facilitator/ Director

Since 2017, I have worked on SHINE, a charity after-school drama programme that brings creative learning into primary and secondary schools across Nottingham. I deliver weekly workshops in drama, devising, and storytelling, supporting young people to grow in confidence and creativity. Each year, the programme culminates in the SHINE Festival at Nottingham Playhouse, where participants share work on the main stage
Community & Inclusion Projects
Community & Inclusion Projects
Lead Facilitator/ Director
Since 2023 Beyond Borders, has been a community theatre project open to adults, migrants, and people who have English as an additional language, as well as anyone with an interest in theatre and culture. Refugees and asylum seekers take part free of charge. Through drama, movement and storytelling, participants explore identity, share experiences, and develop their creativity. The project also offers opportunities to perform, giving participants a platform to share their voices with wider audiences in a supportive environment.

Examples of work
From running the backstage mayhem of pantomime to devising original performances, directing new work, and stepping into the spotlight myself, I’ve worn many creative hats. These projects show the range of roles I’ve taken on—performer, director, deviser, stage manager—and my passion for making theatre in all its forms.
For JW3’s pantomime Goldie Frocks and the Bear Mitzvah, I coordinated all backstage elements to deliver smooth, high-energy performances. My role involved managing rehearsals, executing precise scene changes, and overseeing prop setup and maintenance with the Company Stage Manager and Production Manager. I organised props tables, handled live transitions, managed microphones, and ensured seamless backstage operations—from first rehearsal to final curtain.
A theatre group for first-generation migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, providing training in devising theatre and developing performances that highlight the migrant experience and the cultural richness these groups contribute to the UK community, with a particular focus on Nottingham.
Collaborating with Lora Krasteva, creator of Sheffield's "Becoming British" performance, we're transforming the show into an 11-hour live performance, rich with metaphors illustrating the hostile environment faced by first-generation migrants on their path to British citizenship.
A devised performance about climate change was showcased as part of the Prototype Festival at Nonsuch Studios supported by Arts Council England and New Perspectives Theatre Company.

Rooted in the concept of liminality, the performance draws parallels between the artists' migrant experience and Persephone's descent to Hades. This unique installation was showcased at the 2019 Film Free and Easy Festival.
A surreal digital performance about the use of AI as a replacement for reality was performed as part of the Messy Unity Festival at Nottingham Playhouse. The show can be found online on Nottingham Playhouse’s YouTube channel and web page.
For World Human Rights Day, Nonsuch Studios and New Perspectives Theatre Company presented a new live-streamed performance of Andrei Kureichik’s protest play about the ongoing Belarusian revolution against ‘the last dictatorship in Europe’.
An online festival promoting new work from emerging creatives. I worked as a director for two pieces: How Far - a poetic story about love and death and the fine line between them & Graft - a spoken word piece about working-class experiences.
An online show by Chronic Insanity performed at the Edinburgh Fringe. An open & fun examination of death and our reactions to this terrifying inevitability. Using a pack of cards, the audience randomly generates a series of performances.
Solo devised performance commissioned by Nonsuch Studios for Emerge Festival. The festival aims to celebrate Shakespeare’s work. Christina performed a variety of characters and used some of Shakespeare’s Sonnets and combined them with clowning and physical comedy to tell a love story.
